The canvas is made of 350gsm polycotton. The mix is 65% polyester and 35% cotton.
The advantages of the 65% polyester, 35% cotton mix are
The flue hole is located to the right hand side of the tent as you look in from the outside.
The diameter is 12cm and is approximately 45cm from the ground
The most important thing to remember is to make sure your bell tent is COMPLETELY DRY when you store it or mould can occur!
Your tent will need to go through a weathering process for the tent to have its own natural water repellence. The canvas will need to completely soak in order to allow the fibres to swell and relax/shrink back to tighten the weave on drying.
This wetting/drying process will not only allow the canvas to condition and gain its full waterproofing properties, but will also help to close up the stitching holes.
This could potentailly take up to three attempts, depending on the amount of water absorbed into the canvas and the speed of the drying process from the sun.
